The students then determine the main idea, and must use descriptive words to make a tweet with 140 characters. As the students rotate through each text, through centers, they will be asked to comment on the main tweet with a supporting detail for the main idea.

We talked about two different ways students could use audio hosting websites to create differentiated products. We specifically mentioned the creation of unique music projects for students who are auditorily talented and the creation of domain-specific informational or performance-based podcasts. Given that these are available on public sites, students could get feedback from authentic listeners and their classmates.

As someone who doesn't have social media, I have thought about how to utilize it within the classroom. It isn't something that I can ignore or condemn because it is a personal choice that I don't have social media. I think the shortened nature of alot of social media content (twitter, tiktok) allows students to summarize and share their main takeaways in a concise manner. I think providing an opportunity for students to share in a format that they enjoy and are well-versed in can encourage participation. I also think having students think about the pros and cons of social media, and having them think about how to navigate these platforms safely is important.
