- A documentary photograph, a medium long shot (MLS)
- The boys are dressed in simple outfits that are mute/neutral colour i.e. black, navy blue and white matched with light-wash jeans. Accessories such as a watch, necklace and hat are worn. The style of their clothing also gives provides a vintage-retro ambience, the editing and filtering of the photography by Greenfield also amplifies this vintage-retro theme.
- The colour scheme within the photograph is warm, the exposure of light is prominent from the right side. This creates a high contrast of tones that draw a central focus on the boys holding 
- Setting seems to be in an enclosed area, there are benches, garage-like
- The 3 boys that are of the main focus within this photo were questioning Greenfield on what she was doing in the area, she explained to the boys that she had a project to capture Los Angeles (LA) life as a photographer. In response the boys pulled out dollar bills from their pockets and tell her to photograph their money, because that is LA life. It was only until Greenfield arrived home to edit her photos was when she realise the 3 boys were holding up $100 dollar bills. 
- The subjects have a relaxed and loose posture and are gazing right at the camera. The boy in the background of the photo is also looking into the camera perhaps drawn by the attention it was giving to the 3 main subjects. The boy to the left holds his money with carelessness, as if his $100 dollar bill holds little value to him. The boy to the right displays his dollar bill as if it's a trophy or an award certificate. The way these two boys display their money portrays the different ways of how money and wealth is valued by the people in LA.

- The composition of the 3 boys are quite centered in the photograph to draw a central focus on them
- The 3 boys in the foreground are in focus whereas the boy in the background is out of focus, this helps to capture the viewers attention to them.
- The cameras vantage point is level with the 3 boys, there is no special perspective or scale that has been used. The simplicity of the photo can represent the simple meaning behind the photo, consumerism.
