Imagine being suddenly uprooted from your current life and moving to a new, unfamiliar place. Food, clothing, customs, and the people around you are all different from what you’re used to. What aspects of your current life mean the most to you? What would you fear losing because of this move?

A part of my day to day life is the many friends I get to see during the schools weeks and weekends, many of the memories I have of my home place is shaped and formed by the bonds I have with my friends, and the experiences we’ve went through. Losing this aspect of my life will completely change how my new life in a new place will be making it difficult to accept this departure. This is the hardest thing one can lose.

if i was uprooted from my current life and forced to live in a completely different environment, i would be forced to adapt to the new cultures and customs, the aspects of my life that i fear losing, is my language and my culture, and the things i like about my current life is the vacation in 2 weeks.

I would be scared to lose myself my identity who I am. I would be scared to forget who I am and the community I was raised in. Losing sense of yourself is terrifying losing your principles and motives. That’s what I’m most attached to because I built myself brick by brick every decision and action is what led me here.

If I were suddenly moved to a new place, I would miss my family and my friends, and the sense of belonging to where i believe i should be. I would fear losing my routines and comfortable living space which are crucial to who i am. The though of being disconnected from my cultural roots and community is intimidating as they define who i am as a person.

If i was uprooted from my current life i would fear loosing my family and friends the most since they are a part of my daily life and have helped me through so much, I would also fear losing my home which has all the memories of me growing up.

One’s life depends on the country they live in, as every place has different people, lifestyles, and culture. Thus, moving somewhere new, completely alters a person’s life. On a personal level, the people i’m surrounded with mean the most to me, as I’ve grown up with them, and I’ve known them for as long as I remember. Although there are positives to meeting new people, this drastic change isn’t easy. I’d miss the place my childhood was shaped in, and i wouldn’t want to leave the nostalgic memories behind.

The aspects of my life that mean the most to me would be my relationships with close friends and family who come from the same community as me, my lifestyle which I am comfortable with and feels just right for me, and the culture of the country I am living in which I have accustomed to and have enough knowledge about. If I were uprooted from my country, I would lose my friends and family, I would be exposed to an environment in which I didn’t have personal experience with, and would have no knowledge about the country itself. Although, what I fear of losing the most would be the connections I have spent years building with my friends and family, in addition to the environment of the country which I had gotten used to and gained enough knowledge about it, and the comfort I had during my time there in public places such as school.
