For external phone call, we as receptionist must said "good morning/afternoon/evening. Thank you for calling e.city hotel. How may i assist you?"

Second type of phone call is internal phone call. Usually guest that staying on this hotell will call reception if they need something or their room have problem. 

For answering internal phone call, receptionist must say "This from reception, how may i assist you?"

When they do pre-registration automatically the list of guest that have in "arrival list" will be shown on "guest in house" list.

The purpose of making Zero Balance Audit is to know the total of guest that check out for that day. Usually this task will made by person in charge that work on morning shift. 

For Zero Balance Audit, we just need to put information into system. The information that needed to fill in are room number, guest name, method of payment either by cash, visa card or master card. Then, the date they make payment and also the total payment that guest have made. 

If guest make payment not using cash, visa or master card, there no need to be record in Zero Balance Audit. For example, if guest are paying by JCB card. After that, we must duplicate the room key. The purpose of duplicating the room key because guest can leave one key card inside their room to activate the light supply and one more card are using to access door if they want to go or out from room.

- Vacant Clean (VC) where it shown the room already vacant and clean by housekeeping but the supervisor did not inspect it yet.
- Vacant Dirty (VD) where it shown the room already vacant but housekeeping did not clean it.

Today the staff taught me about pre-authorized and off sale. Usually pre-authorized will be applied toward foreign guest that stay longer at this hotel. Pre-auth is a process where we will hold some amount from guest' account bank. The purpose is we can simply charge toward account guest if guest using other service like laundry and so on. 

Off sale are applied when guest want to check out.
