Chloe is haunted by her father's serial killings, and now believes a copy cat killer is doing it all over again. Her mother, who can barely communicate, is clearly trying to warn her, but she can't figure out what she's saying. As I read this book, I suspected EVERYONE! That's how well-written it is.

John Scalzi is one of the best sci-fi writers out there. The main character is a super smart guy who suddenly finds himself (during COVID) stuck in a food delivery driver job for a delivery app service. He's miserable, until one of his clients offers him a job for KPS, an animal rescue society. It turns out KPS stands for Kaiju Preservation Society, and they rescue Kaiju--Kaiju are massively huge dragon-type creatures that exist in an alternate earth dimension. This book is about how the Salem girls were caught dancing in the forest by the Reverend, and have to lie their way out of being witches by accusing others of witchcraft. This leads to chaos and the death of innocent people. Plus more lying, and well.. death. 
I think it is a good book, with lots of drama and action. It is a historical fiction romance. 

I loved the story I loved the story between Alex and Eliza the ups and downs of their relationship along with the history of our country during the 1700s. It was very interesting and entertaining for me.

The words move around with the character's emotions and perspectives seamlessly jump around with no warning. Entire pages are meant to be ignored because its just useless information. One of my favorite instances of this is an entire page of what's NOT in the house at the time.
