As a result of World War Two, Many countries, especially The United States, lost many jobs. The main reason was lots of men were getting drafted to fight in the war. During this time, society's standards for women were to stay home and cook, but there were so many job openings, women were now being encouraged to start working in "man's jobs." This was the start of a woman dominating the workforce. The overall standard of life for a woman during these times was constantly working, looking after her kids and, hoping her husband comes back from war.
