Often they would take poor care of the steppes and end up as waste, such as what happened in Persia

Social- The Mongols would often always be the top politically and treat previous citizens like peasants by making them peasants, and would sometimes allow some higher class authorities stay in power, such as some Persian politicians and Russian princes were kept alive if they paid tribute.

Politics- The Mongols brought and end to the Abbasid caliphate as they took it over. As well as the Mongols conquering Persia and taxed them heavily under torture.Though they let some Persians stay in power since they kept some of the Persian bureaucracy.The Mongols had as well took over China, and once they did they had no idea what to do with it. One suggestion was to murder everyone and turn the land into pasture, it was rejected though. They ended up using Chinese taxation techniques and extracted as much wealth as possible from the people

Economics- The mongols would heavily tax conquered empires and their people up to 20-30 times a year. This would sometimes be done under torture such as whipping. Sometimes would consider slavery as pay. They woulds pend collected money on things such as luxury goods.

Culture-  There would be Mongols who had converted after conquering an empire. In Persia most Mongols converted Islam.

Although not subjecting them to disgrace or humiliation, they began to exact money from these men;"  the Mongols are guilty because they were taking/demanding  stuff that wasn't theirs and were slaughtering Muslims in order to conquer their land.  As wife of the caliph of Abbasid,  I am against the Mongols. They are guilty of killing my husband. They wrapped him up in a carpet and let him get trampled to death by horses. Truly horrific, I am devastated.

Another reason they are guilty is because they made heavy taxes, sometimes collected twenty or thirty times a year and often under torture or whipping, pushed large numbers of peasant off their land.
