I believe that standard #3, Promote Model Digital Citizenship and Responsibility is the standard that I am the strongest in. This is something that I already model for my younger cousins and something that I have put quite a bit of thought into for my personal life and in my nearly decade in the a position in which I was in charge of our hiring (which means I was looking at everyone's digital footprint before they came in for an interview) - this makes it easier to apply to my teaching and classroom (and my policy will be more of a do as I do AND as I say - but this picture was too cute to pass up).

Room For Improvement

As I am new to the field of teaching, I believe that the practice that I could use the most improvement in is that of #2, Design and Develop Digital Age Learning Experiences and Assessments. This is a topic that I haven’t been exposed to previously and, for this reason, it is something about which I have a lot to learn. I think that there are many resources that will help me with this including the fostering of relationships with others in the field of education on twitter and other platforms. I think that edutopia.org (which is something I have been exposed to in previous classes) is a great tool to become familiar with new ways to integrate digital platforms into my curriculum and my classroom environment.
