During prohibition, new crimes and crime organizations started popping up all throughout the country. The most popular crime being bootlegging since alcohol was no longer legally attainable. The transportation and illegal production of alcohol led to gangs being formed in many cities like Chicago which eventually led to deadly turf wars. These turf wars led to one of the most known gang killings, The Valentines Day Massacre. This massacre took place in Chicago, where one of the most known crime bosses Al Capone allegedly ordered his goons to pose as police officers and gun down 7 opposition gang members in the back.

Al Capone and Bugs Moran we’re both products of post prohibition violence. They both came into power after the previous leaders had been killed or forced to retire. Al Capone was the boss of the Chicago Outfit a popular Italian American bootlegging gang in Chicago. Moran however, was the leader of the opposing North Side Gang. These 2 ran everything in Chicago and the surrounding area with violence between the 2 groups running rampant. All the while, these 2 were trying to be put to Justice by the bureau of investigation and Elliot Ness, a prohibition agent in the enforcement group named the “Untouchables”.
