You have had online classes haven’t you? We all have, especially now with the Pandemic. Those classes that seem impossible to adapt, and are confusing, that make Kids get bored when they’re not with their friends.
My experience with online classes has been difficult at the moment of adapting, given it’s a completely different environment being at home, compared to being at school with friends, and a teacher in front. Many people say, even after the Pandemic many classes that used to be in a room, will be online. Well I think we all agree it’s way different, but there’s ways to make it easier.
My personal experience is with adapting my environment to what I’m supposed to do there, for example I try to get all things related to video games and social media out of my desktop, where I do my homework and get into online classes, but I also keep another place, where I can feel more comfortable and play or talk with my friends. Also it’s good to set specific hours to work, and relax, and trying to finish things, and not to set them always for the next day, because of how this would keep you in eternity moving one task.
These are some of the ideas me and my brother got out of the internet, and really helped. It would be great if you tell me about your experience at this kind of classes, and if this blog helped you.

Felipe Matus

How the online classes can affect to the learning process

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, most schools have had to start taking online classes. That is why, I want to say why these classes bring negative aspects in the learning process from the students. First of all, have you ever been distracted in an online class? Most teenagers in the world have been distracted in an online class. This happens, because when people have technological devices near them, they can get distracted with social media or the notifications. That has happened a lot of times to me and that is why I can't concentrate. Also, sitting in front of a screen all day is very tiring. It is proven that it is not good to sit all day in front of a screen because the human needs to move during the day. Are you getting tired easily during the day? It has happened to me. Another thing that affects the learning process is that sometimes you can't understand what the teacher says because you can have internet problems or maybe it is harder to understand while viewing a screen. Many solutions that I can give is to turn off all the technological devices while working or put them away and try to get into online classes in a comfortable and quiet place and after classes rest from the screen a little bit or do some sport. Those were some causes of why online classes bring negative aspects to learning and solutions for them. Let's hope the pandemic is gone and go to face to face classes again. Please comment if this problems had happened to you.

Diego López

Usually this happens 15 or 10 minutes before classes, but I’m not gonna lie to you, it also happens that I wake up 5 or 10 minutes after the beginning of a class and I have to run to my computer.

Believe it or not, I’ve also been able to get up punctually, but one way or the other I always end up making my morning coffee with my classmate on my phone.

I work every day on my wake up problems but I don't know why I can’t see any improvement.

Also, I think that there are millions of online learning confessions more interesting than falling asleep, that's why now I want to hear your experience!

* Reminder: everyone can see your expression and what happens around you, when your camera is on!! :)

Who has not felt stressed with online classes?. The world has changed a lot since the pandemic began, the classes are an clearly example of one of the things that changed a lot, before the pandemic the classes where at school or college, now with online classes you have to be all day on the computer and make this classes at home, which can be a huge distraction factor, and nobody can deny that is has been a difficult process due to being tired all day and having to adapt to the new way of teaching, that most of the student dislike because they say that they don’t learn anything. You are happy because you think you learn something but then the next class you figured out that you didn’t learn anything and adding the homeworks and tests that the teachers give to you makes you get stressed and haven’t free time for you neither, so the only solution you have is to organize your time and so improve your day-to-day performance.

There are many ways to organize your time, for example make a calendar with all the tests of the month and next to that put the dates of the days you will study on each one. Another way could be to create set times for each study and obviously have breaks in between. To be honest I don’t do any of these tips. I actually said that to you because apparently they are the most recommendable tips and now I’m gonna tell you what I really do to organize my time. Firstable I have to admit that I prioritize subjects more than anything, the subjects that are more important to me or the ones that really interest me. I really consider myself more scientific than humanist so I study more scientific subjects like biology or chemistry than history, I also do the most homeworks that I can on Monday, but don’t think that I don’t do them well, I make all my effort in each task and I know that could be hard to make all those homeworks in only one day but you can prioritize the task with date to upload more nearly and the others you can do it on tuesday, just think that if you make this, you have all the rest of the week off. For the tests I already said that I priosizite a lot but I also follow one of this Tips that I said in the beginning, I do my own calendar with all of the tests dates and then, next to the dates, I write the days that I will study for each test, this Tip only works if you propose to you really study on the days you wrote, if you can’t do that this Tip actually don’t work for you.

It took me a long time to know which tips actually work for me and which not, but at the end of the day, you are the only person who really knows you, the person who knows your habits and who you are so even if I give you many tips of organize yourself, you will the only person who knows what really work for you. And before than anything , remember that it is really important to have time for you, more in these times of pandemic, I know that is very difficult, but remember to do your best so you can meet your goals, better times will come. So what tips do you think actually work for you? tell me your experience!

Being productive in online school? I don’t know what that is…

Have you ever felt like you're wasting your time during online classes? Well, let me tell you that you’re not alone. Most of us are having a difficult time trying to figure out how to live our lives without the huge stress that school is giving us. At least that’s who I’m blaming my stress for, but I must confess that it is myself that is being less productive during this pandemic.

Most of my days start like this: I wake up five minutes before class looking like a dead lion who’s been hibernating for ten years. I try to make myself presentable by putting my hair on a ponytail and a smile on my face. Now I’m ready to open the “meet” and not pay attention for the next five hours. After looking straight into my webcam for the whole morning pretending like I have been paying attention, I have to do my homework. Of course I start complaining about how much we have to learn and the big amount of assignments I have to finish. Then, maybe I will have a mental breakdown and start crying because of my stress and anxiety. But you know, that’s part of being a teenager, or that’s the excuse everyone gives. I feel like we all have had a day or two like this, right? Of course if anyone asks, we will deny everything.

And I haven’t even started with the main dish… Procrastination. I am really exposing myself out here, but I guess that’s alright if it makes anyone feel like they aren’t the only one suffering during online school. So, I really have trouble starting my work. I always set a time and promise myself to start to work then. But most of the time I will be scrolling through tiktok or instagram and not feel like doing my homework. And then I have the will to get up from my bed and go sit in front of the computer. You might think, “Oh this is when she begins to do her work”, but you’re wrong. I will sit the next 20 minutes doing the same thing (scrolling through social media), but the only difference is that I will be sitting in front of my computer.

Well, you might be asking yourself by now if this is how I spend my days during online classes, how do I manage to submit everything on time and have good grades? The answer is, I have no idea. But I know that if I can do it, you can too. So, don’t feel sad about not being very productive and try to find new ways of using your time, but please in a wise way. We have all been in a similar situation, so this is a place where we can share our experiences on this topic. Let me know if something like this has happened to you or if it's different in your case.

Do you now the importance to being comfortable in the online classes? Hello Guys! Im Martin Apparcel a student of the German School from Santiago. Today I am going to give my own experience, my habits and all the secrets that i want to reveal about the online classes here in Chile!

At first I didn’t like this method at all but as more time went I got more experience and ways to beat out the quarantine at Home. The most important way to not get distracted is having an alone place without external noises. This place must be clean, tidy and very comfortable. In my case the day begins at 7am, I go directly to the bathroom, taking a long shower so that I have energy all day and stay awake. At 7 and a half I am dressed ready for school, but first I go to the kitchen and I make myself a hot coffee with a french toast or pancakes. In general I receive all my homeworks and Independent study on Mondays and we need to have it submitted on Fridays in the afternoon. For this reason I try to be organized to deliver all the files at time, because that counts into the participation mark that we have in all the subjects.

I hope that you like this kind of Blog about my experience at the Online classes in my Country. You are all invited to comment what you think about my tips and how the online classes work in my school.

Martin Apparcel

Online learning. Have you been through it? Are you currently experiencing it? Then you’re reading the right blog. Maybe you are handling it well, or maybe you’re not, and that’s ok. In my case, I better confess to you all the details.

It all started more than one year ago, when we all thought that the confinement wouldn’t last longer than two weeks. But here I am, learning through a computer. At the very beginning of online school, I didn’t understand almost anything from the classroom. I even got stressed many times when the teachers returned an assignment, because I just didn’t understand what was happening. On more than one occasion I felt that I wasn’t gonna be able to complete all my tasks, especially if I wanted to sleep enough.

About the study, all I can say is that since I can remember I get desperate when I have to do many tests in the same week, because every time, I feel that I won’t be able to study enough because of time and I get angry with myself for not having begun to study earlier. Confinement hasn’t helped at all, since I have to stay home and it's way more difficult to clear up my mind and take a break from study when I get too stressed. However, even if I get stressed I am usually able to study all the contents for each test and get good grades.

Also, I’ve been told more than once by my parents to spend my free time in healthy and non technological activities, such as drawing, reading or doing exercise, instead of watching Netflix or looking at social media. But the truth is, I've lost any motivation I had to do those things, because I usually finish my assignments or my study exhausted and energyless, and if I don’t sleep, I usually spend my time with social media or video games, even though I know it is not ideal.

Well, that’s everything that comes to my mind right now. ¿Do you have any similar experiences? If you do, feel free to share them in the comments section.

It is easy to study in these times of pandemic? It is not easy to study in the pandemic through technology, but this is my experience. First of all, at the beginning of the week I organize my homework and what I have to study in order to be clear about when I should do each thing and not get stressed. Another important thing is to do everything with time and nothing at the last minute, I personally try to do things as soon as they are uploaded to the classroom so that later things do not accumulate. The way that I studied for the tests, which works quite well for me, is by making summaries because that way I collect all the material and while I study them and then I just review by reading. And how do you study? Do you make summaries? You only read the matter ...Another thing I do is, try to finish school things before 7 o'clock so that I can have some time for myself and rest as it is very important. Do you have time for yourself? And the last thing I do is share my summaries with my classmates because it also helps them to study.Share your ways of studying to help othersIf you do what I do, it may be easier for you to study in the pandemic, hopefully it will help you.And how has your experience studying in the pandemic been?

Have you ever done online classes from your bed? I think your answer is yes. I wanna talk about the weirdest things we have done online classes. Like being in the bathroom with the computer there or being in the car and suddenly the teacher asks you to put your camera on or maybe being in the pool. Those kinda things could happen when you get the liberty of being anywhere while you are in your class.

Are you always at your desk in online classes ? no ? Then let me tell you that you are part of the 90% of the teenagers I know who are also connected to their classes in the car or in every other weird place.

All of my friends have done classes in the car or in the bathroom or just in their bed. Apart from the multiple places you could take your classes, you could be dressed in piyama or you could be making yourself a sandwich while the teacher speaks. Personally I always have my breakfast in the 3rd hour of class, it's my new tradition, so many times I have taken off the food in my mouth quickly in an unexpected moment when the teacher asks me to read something or to answer a question. Also sometimes I´m wearing piyama all day and I only put a pullover over me to not look like a lazy person who has waked 5 minutes before the class, clearly I'm not that type of person…

After I told you all my experiences, I don't doubt someone in the world also makes this type of thing. I invite you to comment on your own experiences in online classes and tell me the next topic you want me to talk about. I read you !

Well I feel this the whole time.

For me the online classes haven't been easy, normally I have extra classes to improve my notes, but now that we ate in online classes I can’t have these classes, so I need to find other ways. What I do is make documents with the whole materie of the test.

I don’t tell this to anyone because they tell me the whole time that it's bad and this kinda thing. I don’t think that this is bad, because if I could study well and learn I wouldn’t do it, but it's not my case. If some of you copy I would like to read why you copy or just hear interesant stories.

Have you already had online classes? I suppose all of us had it. Because of the Quarantine we can not see our friends physically. We need to be at home alone or with the family. Some people stress themselves, that's why I want to give you some advice to avoid the stress and be calm.

First I will tell my own experience about the theme. Into the first Quarantine I stress myself a lot. I can't meet my friends and I haven't seen them for a long time. I can't do sports that need a big space to play, like Tennis, Football etc. Then I think of a solution to this problem. During the Quarantine, my friends and I make a server of discord to play and talk together, but I need to do something to move myself. So I started doing sports 3 times a week. That helps me to be healthier and happier.

If you are stressed, I really recommend meeting your friends on a meet by video calls or face to face respecting sanitary measures. You can play videogames with them. I really recommend the “Gartic Phone” . It is very funny and you will have a good time with them.

This was the experience that I had with the Quarantine, and how I solve my problems and stress. Please if you have any doubt or if this problem happened to you, ask or write to me on the same chat.

We all had to go to online classes, at least teenagers and kids. And how has it been? For me, I don’t think it was the best for my notes, but it sure was peaceful. Being alone in my room while being in class was great for an introverted like me, if it wasn’t for the classes of course. Working was more boring than ever, now that there was homework from everywhere, but I managed to fulfill them. My notes probably decreased, so I think it was best for me to go to school. And when the pandemic finally ends, I’ll really miss waking up late, being alone in the comfort of my bed.

This is exactly how I felt in my online classes. In my online period I had a lot of connection problems which made me angry and confused with my lessons.
Do not get stressed with online classes

Since the quarantine started, to replace the school, I started going to online learning. During this time, as I expected, it started to appear day by day, problems that had hindered my development and learning every day, to think I was going to die with this system. For that reason, I began to try to solve these problems with my own methods.

In my online learning experience, as I said, I began to have some issues with some things, for example, the adaptation to be in my room all day, and not to socialize with my friends. A possible solution is to connect, at least 15 minutes with your friends to talk about any topic to have a bit of sociability. Another problem, which I witnessed was “the noise”. The noise that my family makes when I'm in the online class. For example, when my sister is talking with her friends, when my mom is cooking lunch, when my dad is talking with coworkers, etc. A solution that I planned was to close my door and put on headphones. If you have a place to do it, get as far away as possible, to not interrupt everyone else. Furthermore I experienced the most difficult problem I have ever seen, The communication with your teacher. For example, when I have a question, it is so difficult to ask the teacher, because of the few hours I have with that teacher. A possible answer is to prepare the questions before the class to have an answer quickly. So that's what I could remember from the online classes, and how to not get stressed with them.

In conclusion, this message is sent to all teenagers who have some problems in life, through online learning, and are searching for solutions to solve it. I am also open to answer any questions regarding my blog. How long will we be in online classes?

Gaston Vera

I have, multiple times to be honest, while cooking during online classes. These classes have been a living nightmare, the times I had to get up and abandon my desk are uncountable, sometimes I have to take care of my little sister, sometimes I have to help my mum with the laundry and sometimes I even have to go to the shop...all while being on online classes. A lot of teenagers have this same issue, having to get up while having classes to help our parents because we are home and at home things happen and you, happy or unhappy, have to help. But...what about the times you miss something important? For example, the teacher accidentally showing the responses of the homework or, even worse, the responses of the test that you have tomorrow and haven't studied, that's sad isn't it?

And what about you? Do you have a confession to make about your online learning? Write your answer in the comments.

Hi, I am a teenager, you might be a teenager, we might relate with something. What about online classes? We all had to go to online classes, at least teenagers and kids. And how has it been? For me, I don’t think it was the best for my notes, but it sure was peaceful. Being alone in my room while being in class was great for an introverted like me, if it wasn’t for the classes of course. Working was more boring than ever, now that there was homework from everywhere, but I managed to fulfill them. My notes probably decreased, so I think it was best for me to go to school. And when the pandemic finally ends, I’ll really miss waking up late, being alone in the comfort of my bed. But that’s just me, you can share your experience if you don’t mind, after all, it might be more interesting than mine.

The last two years the learning was a little bit different because of the pandemic.

We, the students, had to learn how to study from our houses, in other words we brought the school to our homes, for this reason a lot of things changed, like the homeworks, the sociability , the way to do tests, etc.

How many of us have tried new techniques to cheat in tests? In this blog we are going to expose all the students' confessions about this new way to learn.

I think we all have many anecdotes to tell about how crazy this last time of study has been, but obviously i'm going to tell us my confessions.

When we started online classes last year I remember I was so tired that I got into the meet classes from my bed and I think most of us have done this , so we have the possibility to do it, although I have to confess that I did not understand anything, since I was always about to fall asleep. One time in history class I was obviously in my bed almost asleep and after like 10 minutes I fell asleep , when I woke up I was the only person in the meeting. The class started at 9.20 and it was 11.50. Now I laugh but it was the last time that I did classes from my bed.

I think we`ve all learned to pay attention in online classes, to be honest at first i don't pay too much attention in the first meetings, but now i do it and that's , because i have to learn it in a bad way. I wish I hadn't learned it that way, but things happen for a reason. It started when my German teacher said to us that we need to do a short presentation next class, and I wasn't paying attention , so I didn't listen to her. The next day I had the luck to be the first person to presentate and I was so nervous, because clearly I did nothing , so I cut the wifi and then I sent an email saying that my internet was very bad !

Well I can tell you a lot of confessions and experiences in my online learning, so I think that even though I had passed bad times, it helped me a lot to learn how to take effective online classes. Also, I know a lot of friends passed the same so I can say that most students can learn something about this new metode.

What have you learned about online learning?Tell me your experiences!
