Sea turtles will often mistake plastic bags for jellyfishes and when they eat the plastic bag, the harmful chemicals in the plastic bags will cause internal damage to the organs of the sea turtles. The plastic bags will also block their digestive system and will eventually die.

1)turn off all lights near beach.
Sea turtles babies would use the light reflected from the moon to make their way to the ocean and if there are other light sources, the turtles will be attracted to those light sources and there might be dangerous things like cars that will injure them.
2)Reduce amount of garbage you produce.
Some garbage are light like(plastic bags)will be blown by the wind and into the ocean and plastic bags have a way to mimic a jelly fish which is the food for most turtles and they will die after eating the plastic bag as they choke on the plastic bag.
3)Know where are the nesting sites of sea turtles.
Be sure you know where are the nesting sites in case you might step on them and if you are going to observe them do not bring a flashlight.
4)Reduce the amount of chemicals used.
Some chemicals might go to the sea and some off these chemicals will be toxic to turtles.
5)volunteer.
You could ask your friends or family and pick up litter near the seaside .You could also talk to others and tell they the importance of sea turtles or you could join any beach clean up event and help them clean up.
