From this poem, my inference is that a child is able to express himself through hundred languages, hundred hands, hundred thoughts, hundred ways of thinking, hundred ways of playing and hundred ways of speaking. Honestly, I can totally relate to how many ways a child can relate his/her experiences through various ways because I have been through that as well. While this is something that all children has, the school, society and culture comes into the picture and try to alter the way the child is. Very often than not, they try so much to dictate and change the way the child is through exposing him/her to an environment or idea to attempt to get them to be conformed to the pattern of this culture. Hence, the school and culture ought to take the responsibility to guide and lead them to discover their true potential while ensuring that the children still get to express themselves in a way that is not restrictive and led by them. From this poem, I also feel that the child has an idea of what he/she knows and what he/she might want to convey to the culture and school. Thus, the school and culture which I believe can be referring to us, ought to be taking consideration of how the child may feel as well. After all, he/she has a right to express and attempt to learn things in accordance to what they deem as comfortable. The right thing for the school to do is not to place statements/ideologies that are deemed as right but they should also embrace the creativity and how the child may assiociate certain things, like how play and learning can do together even if it seems out of the norm. It is never meant to be like brainwashing kind of learning but a two way learning experience to discover the child and also reflecting upon the method used for the child.

From the video, I feel that one thing that this school has done which has impressed me would be the ample opportunities for the children to learn and be exposed to the various stimulis. From poem to music and even to drama and clay, the children would definitely have a platform to explore and learn about expressing themselves. It was really interesting to see parents participating as children take on roles as singers which will stimuli their senses and also boost self confidence as they attempt to sing and perform in front of others, including other parents. Another thing that stood out was paper making which incorporate paper tearing, poouring of water, filtering of water from the pulp and also team effort to make it happen paves the way for future academic content. While we may not see it as a direct impact, various domains of their development are certainly stimulated and honed as they partake in this activitiy. Through various activities in the school, the children would be intrigued as they are exposed to things like snack time where they will weight the snack and also measuring tape which appeals to them as they get to have hands on experiences. From drama class, children get to have the chance to develop story line, responsbility as they make a programme and sccnery for the drama. This also allow parents to participate in the costume making and children to take on different roles to make the entire show work which will contribute to their self-esteem and self confidence as they present the show to their parents and siblings who will then appreciate their efforts. Next, the children get a chance to express themselves thruogh a poem which require literacy skills and also allow them to express before a crowd and taking pride in their work. Lastly, the children get to play with clay which will hone their fine motor skills and also expressing themselves thruogh the art work. They also get to study and apply it in what they are currently working with. The children also sing along and get to create art pieces according to the theme given but yet have the freedom to create what they want. Overall, this school has showed that they believe in their children and also allow them to have the freedom to explore and take part in activities which are catered to their learning needs and at the same time, appeal to them as they are interesting as well. The children are given the chance to build themselves up at a very young age and adults have much to learn from them as well. Parents also have the opportunity to be part of their learning experiences and aid the children in expressing themselves and also uncovering their gifts and talents before they move on in the next phase of their life.
