In 1946, Igor Gouzenko was a citizen at the Soviet Union working at the embassy in Ottawa

When Igor Gouzenko revealed that there were some spies from the Soviet Union, most Canadians were really surprised.

He never showed his face because he was afraid that he might get caught and might get killed.

Soviets were trying to steal secrets from the Canadians so that would help the Soviet Union build nuclear weapons.

He was also a Soviet citizen.
