As Amir is writing this book, he repeats “the winter of 1975” which makes me also think that he reflects on that winter and feels guilty for whatever happened. - Allison

I am noticing that the main character, Amir, is showing signs of being a jealous person. This is seen when he goes to the river with his father and purposefully says that Hassan cannot go. This is because the last time they went, Hassan skipped his rock more times than him, and was commended by Ali. (14).
