Teaching involves monitoring, assessing, and boosting students' cognitive, emotional, linguistic, and psychomotor development as they acquire new knowledge, learn new procedures, and overcome difficulties to become competent, skilled, and efficient professionals.
Instead of being the teaching-learning process "protagonist", the teacher serves as a moderator, guide, or even a coach that helps students develop their competencies by offering diverse learning opportunities, resources, feedback, and assessing to make sure that the students are meeting the goals.
Teaching English is to make the students enjoy the experience of learning. Like parents let their children to live their own experience even though staying near to support them, so is “teaching English”. When we assign home tasks we should take time, thinking carefully about how they will feel comfortable in the developing of these, so that they can do their best effort. We as teachers have to have a good relationship with them, respecting their ideas, accepting their errors, and giving them feedback so that they are clear about every concept of the lesson in class.

Learning

From multiple perspectives, learning is a conscious and subconscious process that every human goes through their entire life in a formal and informal setting to learn knowledge, facts and skills.

It is important to mention that learning can be superficial , when we only memorize things that are easily forgettable , or deep, when we engage with meanings, become active learners and internalize the knowledge in the long term.

We learn basic skills since we are born and as we grow our learning experiences become more unique. As humans are constantly learning skills to prepare ourselves to become independent, but learning doesn’t stop, we learn to live and live to learn.

When we receive formal education in a building, that's when the experts or educators need to determine the appropriate learning style necessary within the classroom for students to reach content and language proficiency in any language, but always providing a student centered learning environment.

Also, the process of learning is closely related to motivation so everybody starts learning for a reason, it might be the necessity, the desire of professional development, or the decision of looking for a job.

Teaching is an art practiced indirectly and directly by some individuals. The act of teaching happens when a person teaches someone or a group of people something in an informal or formal setting. Teaching is an art that needs to be crafted not just by the educator in a classroom but for all students because they not only learn but teach each other. The educator is responsible for guiding the student by adjusting or implementing teaching strategies and providing tools that scaffold or facilitate learning in a collaborative environment.
