Certainly traveling to a different place is a challenge and you also have to create awareness of everything that can happen, you are probably not afraid to make us see that homesick is only depends on each person. Although actually people don't know to control homesick and is why they fall into depression, fortunately there are many skills or activities that we can carry out to control homesick; a very profound example that i can give you is to stop thinking those things that only prevent your brain from working properly and better dedicate yourself to getting ahead.

Going to study abroad, especially for me, is something difficult, starting another stage of your life away from your family, your friends, your country, it will always be a complicated task. It involves processes, changes, depression, anxiety and a lot of homesickness.

I have been studying abroad for 5 years and the best tips I can give you are:

1. Get out of the house, spend time in parks, see new places in the country where you are or any place that involves going out a little and distracting your mind.

2. Exercising is absolutely a good idea. This will distract you at the same time that you feed your self-esteem, gives you happiness and contributes to the process of reducing anxiety and sadness.

3. Keeping your mind busy is really good. Learn a new language, focus on doing all your school assignments, read a book, clean your home, or do anything that will allow you to ward off any negative thoughts.

4. And finally, something that is truly important. Maintain communication with your family, friends, people you love very much. We can stay in touch through calls and even video calls, which bring us closer to reality. The most important thing is to see a benefit in all this: we can use all the resources at our disposal if keeping the people we love close by makes us feel better, supported and that there are people who care about us.

Mariño 🤬 Alix Madeline

I think that at first when you study abroad you don't get nostalgic or anxious, but on the contrary you are nervous and excited to know how you are doing or to meet new people. But as time passes that feeling of anxiety and nostalgia begins, because it may not be what you expected, plus you start to miss your friends or family, even the food. But my advice is that you enjoy that moment and get out of your comfort zone to meet new people or new things, since nothing is forever and you will return to your country.

Lozano Sánchez Daniela

Nostalgia refers to a feeling of sadness that can occur at any time in human life. In turn, memories are the main activator of this emotion, since when thinking about the past in relation to a situation that had been lived, its extinction generates said nostalgia.
In my opinion, I believe that nostalgia is a feeling that can be solved by replacing it with something else, that is, creating better memories and creating and creating more so as not to regret anything and that I am not influenced as well as being able to leave home, travel, with friends, etc.

I think it is one of the most difficult issues, because you are far away from the people with whom you lived most of your life and not being able to celebrate achievements or moments is very difficult, but i think what gives us more nostalgia are the memories we spend with our family and the anxiety of not being able to talk to someone about the good and bad moments that are happening to us.

TIPS
1.- keep your mind busy, if you stay in your room feeling alone you will start to remember your family, your bed, your dog, better plan your day to visit the gun place or spend time with a friend.
2.-Communicate with your family, this will help you a lot because you will be aware of how your family is and you will not have to be worried, you can also talk about how your week has been, what you have eaten or how well you are doing in school.
3.-Find friends with whom you can leave your room to do some activity or eat something, or just share a hobby.
4.-do some exercise, this will help you to relax your mind and could motivate you.
5.-Even if you are alone, you don't necessarily have to feel lonely. Some moments alone will allow you to discover new aspects of your personality, which will make you a stronger person, mentally and emotionally speaking.
Draw up a nice class schedule and place it in a visible place. Leave space for studies, fun and leisure, sports, etc. You are neither the first nor the last to miss your loved ones, and once you get over the bitter pill, you will be able to help others facing the same problem
Javier Lira Garcia.

I believe that to overcome nostalgia you must first go through a grieving process to assimilate things and be able to feel better about yourself in addition to talking about things with people or friends you trust so that they can help you.
some tips would be:
meet new people, do new activities or focus more on your hobby.
