It is not often that I recommend, highly recommend, a graphic novel, but I loved this one. 

The main character, and narrator, Omar, is a refuge from Somalia. He and his brother, Hassan, are displaced when the government begins persecuting its people. Omar and Hassan flee their small town and follow others to Kenya where they are placed in a refugee camp. They are assigned to a foster mom who takes care of them. With little food, and not much hope for any kind of life, Omar sees little possibility for him or his brother, he only hopes to reunite with his mom, until a social worker takes an interest in him and convinces him to go to school, get an education and see what that gift can bring him. So begins his journey of hope at resettlement, and the reunification with his mom. 

This story is the story of two boys who fled Somalia. The heart wrenching details of life of hope, let down and perseverance is one that everyone can learn from.

It was not really very exciting, but it is a good story. I enjoyed reading very much. Overall I rate it four stars. 

The main character, Alex, and his dog, named after his hero, Carl Sagan, go to SHARF to launch Alex's golden I-pod into space. On his train ride, he meets a man named Zed, who does not talk because of the vow of silence. 

However, when Alex launches his rocket into space, it explodes, but his golden 
i-pod is not damaged. 

Then, Alex learned that his dad is in Las Vegas, so Alex goes to Find his dad. He brings Steve and Zed with him.

This book is about Blue, a silkwing who lives on the lost continent. He lives through a time where The Silkwings are treated like slaves by the Hivewings, one of the most powerful dragon tribes. However, when Blue finds the Queen of the Hivewings searching for him so that she can use him as her slave so he can use his flame silk to light up the hives. Blue's sister, Luna, gets captured by the queen. but Blue managed to escape. 

The Lost Continent is a very good story about how Blue saves his captured sister without getting caught himself, and at the same time attempting to end racism against the silkwings. A lot goes on in this book but I'll try to make this summary a little bit shorter. 

Kestra and Simon are the main characters and Kestra is being chased and being betrayed by everyone she meets so the only choice is to leave because it is believed that magic will corrupt her. Simon on the other hand still cares for her so he doesn't want to see her go but he knows it's for the best.

They are in a war and Kestra has been corrupted ut a little bit of her is still alive and she tries to fight it but there's no use and she gains more and more power to defeat Endrick. She may think she was doing good but she was also causing destruction.Kestra finally finds the Olden Blade again but she is dangerous and seeks the throne that Endrick has even though it's meant for Simon and the Halderians.

She finds Endrick and has trouble killing him but she succeeds in doing so. She has partnered with Joth and they take the throne but both of their corruptions are strong and Joth takes the throne for himself. Soon Kestra recovers from the corruption but Joth hasn't then they march off to fight again Kestra still isn't trusted though. 
Before she recovered from magic she poured magic into two disk blades one has the potential to revive her and the other to kill her or Joth.

They end up killing Joth with a black disk but revives him with the white disk. They finally have a good life and every is back to normal.

By far one of her best books for me because it has such rich content and it is filled with anticipation. I read chapter 1-15 in two long days but when I got to the exciting parts I read it all in one day chapter 18-57.

I had a goal to read 30 pages everyday, but it got to the point where I couldn't take my eyes off the pages. 

This book is about a family that consists of 5 siblings, Hyacinth, Isa, Jessie, Laney, and Oliver, a bunny, a dog, a cat, and 2 parents. This family lives in a old Brownstone in Harlem New York. There landlord, Mr. Biederman, is an old cranky man who never leaves his apartment. Because of this the Vanderbeeker's have never even seen his face. All the sudden, on a cold winter day Mr. Biederman absolutely refuses to renew the Vanderbeeker's lease. This is all a huge mystery. The Vanderbeeker kids go out for a hunt to discover why this all happened. The kids all have different personalities, so they usually have a bit of trouble agreeing on things. So they moved to West Virginia. Both Daniel and Erica don't  like it there and Erica starts spending more time with her doll that her mother got her when they lived in Virginia. The school kids and townspeople keep telling them about Old Auntie and her pet razorback hog bloody bones. Soon Erica goes missing in the woods and it is up to Daniel to find her and he gets help from Old Auntie's niece who knows a little bit of magic.

He has a little brother jeffery, which is super super cute, but also very annoying. Jeffery starts getting sick, and jeffery has to deal with that, HIs bandmates calling him 'Peasant', and the his crush not thinking he is even alive. Stevens life is kind of normal at the beginning, but it starts to go bad
I would rate this book a 5/5.



In breakout, The setting is Wolf creek. There is a jail, because there's always robbery's and crimes being done in Wolf creek. One day, 2 men escaped the jail, and the police are going after him. Sal must try to save his universe while helping his friend Yasmany with family troubles and co-directing the school play. This is a lot from one guy to handle but he is lucky to have his friends, and helpful AIs at his side. Her brother has some hard times hearing as he also does not likes a big crowd of people and fabric can be very sensitive on his skin he also sometimes gets hurt by the light.
As Quijana father keeps wanting Quijana to learn spanish because he is mexican as he also wants her to learn songs witch makes her mad. 
She worries about her friend Jayden who is a boy as she likes him but doesn't know if he does back then this girl Seth comes and worries that he likes her more then Quijana.
out of 10 this book just depends what you think how this hook is its not really big. She had to go to her grandparents house all summer. 
Her best friend tried to text her and call her but she that if she did talk to her that she would start to cry. So all summer she ignored her and when she got back she had changed and she would not talk to her.
she went to meet her teacher and no one know that her parents got divorced so she thought that she could just lie.
The new girl at school named marianna has to go the library with ren everyday  because her mom works there and she decides to stay and they hangout everyday after school at the library.  they become pretty  good friends.  
ONe day she saw that her dad was giving her mom a ring and she thought they were getting back together but they weren't.  when she found that out she cried and got upset.  she wanted to be a regular family. Marianna was there too when this happened and ren was embarrassed because she didn't want her to know.  
At bedtime she decided to tell her friends the next day that her parents got divorced and that she was at her grandparents for the summer.  they weren't mad at her for lying to them they understood.
