The July day was warm with a cool breeze. The perfect day to ride around town with my friends. As i'm sitting outside with all my best friends, I get the most disappointting call. My mom started with a sad hello and followed it with " I just got an email from Mrs.Kelly, the dance school is closing." How could such a beautiful day get so gloomy? Tears rolling down my face, I felt so lost. As months past my parents and friends convinced me to try something new. Here we are in our 8th grade year, in the beginning of the happiest month, December. Also known as cheer season in middle school. I thought to myself, "why not try out for cheer. Its the closest thing to dance." My best friend, Antoinette, taught me all the basics of cheer from motions to stunts. Today was the day of try outs. Super cold but the nerves made it feel so hot. My hands started to get clammy, legs and hands started to shake, and I started to blank everything. All the girls trying out sat in the hallway waiting for our group numbers to be called. Finally after what felt like hours our numbers were called, "21,22,23!" I walked in front of the three strangers that were about to judge me and gave everything hundred ten percent. I used my loudest voice and tightest motions for the cheer, my smile and energy for the dance, and all my power for my jumps. The day after was announcement day. Everyone gathered in the halls and waited for our names to be called. It felt like an eternity. I watched each girl walk in and out of the room either with smiles or awkward frowns. My heart raced fast and faster by the minute. I hear it, my name and my heart drops to my stomach. And that day is the day i found my love and passion for cheer. I moved on to high school and made varsity my freshman year and got a whole new family along with it.

My best friend, partner in crime, whatever you wanna call her, but in reality shes like my sister. The day we met was interesting. My dad told me I would be meeting his friend's daughter at my brother's baseball game. My excitement raised and I couldn't wait. My mom and I met my dad, his best friend, and my soon to be best friend at the field. I got out of the car on the rainy, windy day to see a tiny girl standing next to my dad and a random woman. When we finally met I thought " she is so awkward and shy, i'm not going to be able to be friends with her." As time past by we both started to open up more. We were always hanging out doing ridiculous things together. Antoinette pushes to do things I would of never imagined I could do and work my hardest. If it wasn't for Antoinette I wouldn't be who I am today. So yes, she is my partner in crime.

Take the most trustworthy, caring, respectful, kind people you know and put them into one person. That one person would be my brother, Austin. There is no need to be scared, he might look like a big intimated guy, being six foot and benching three hundred pounds , but he is the greatest person you'll ever get to meet. No matter who you are, what you've done, or how you look, my brother will always treats you with dignity and grace. He is one of those people that persuade you to want to be better just by his personality. I look up to my brother in so many ways. When he is out of the football field hes the most aggressive guy, but off hes the sweetest. And because of him, I always to be my best person I can be.
