The secret society was out- lawed through edict during 1784, 1785, 1787, 1790. Even though the society was out-lawed, they continued in a under ground hide out. Some people believe that they started the French Revolution. This small group of people were a big deal back then, like I said, some people think they did some pretty bad stuff and messed things up.
