         <description><![CDATA[<div>Thoreau thinks that our society is "too cheap." What he means by this is we only talk and interact with people in brief conversations and interactions. We simply don't have enough time to understand each other and their values. Also everyone has to "agree on a certain set of rules, called etiquette and politeness". He thinks that we do this to make these brief interactions tolerable. We simply are in the way of each other, thus losing all respect for one another because they are always in the way.</div>]]></description>

Even though he was dying these "visions" continued to cheer him up and make him think as if he wasn't alone.</div>]]></description>
