1) Why the language is threatened.

The malagasy is a language is the co-official language of Madagascar, an official language is French writing and education in the country is in French. Malagasy is accepted as official language, but only in verbal communication.

Currently about 20 million people speak Malagasy, but within Malagasy there are at least eleven dialects among them Merina and Sakalava.

5) Why it is important to preserve it.
It is important to preserve malagasy because it is a set of dialects of a rich culture. If these dialects get lost the culture of that people go away.
6) Think about the brazilian context. Are there any endangered / extinct languages in brazil? Search the WWW and see what you find!
Brazil has about 190 languages threatened with extinction. One of these languages is Guatô, only five people speak this indigenous language. The Indians living in the region bordering Mato Grosso and Bolivia came to be considered extinct, but thanks to missionaries they organized and are struggling to have recognition and preserve the language.

In the sentence : "Brazilians also use diminutives to save face ,as a indirect way of sayng something not entirely flattering",what does the expression "to save face" mean?Write a sentence about your own experience ,when you did/save something "to save face".

The Brazilian ends up using less heavy words to disagree or not hurt the other person.We care a lot about not being rude to the person.
I use a lot of the ahh é bonitinho, when the person or thing is not so beautiful as the other person is saying it is.
Example
Zac Afron is the most beautiful guy in the world.
Me: He's cute.

I agree with the statement. It is part of our culture to be most affection. In our speech we take care that the other is not offended or think we are rude.
Sometimes we go around in a subject just so we will not be rude to the other person. The diminutive serves as a buffer at times

Wikitongues is a network of activists who through the website and social networks help in the process of recovering languages that are in danger of disappearing
2) Explain the relationship between Cultural Diversity and Internet. 
The relationship between cultural diversity and the Internet raises two points. Internet access has led to mass languages engulfing small languages. But it also gives the opportunity for these languages to be spoken and out of the ordinary, to be propagated by the world and to be saved by their speakers.
3)Linguists and language reclamation> is it the only way to "save" a language?Explain it.
Absolutely not. There are people around the world who are not linguists and can work with linguists trying to save their language.
Using the Internet and the tools bestowed by her like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter to save your language including Wikitongues.
4) What social media platforms are associated to Wikitongues? Check them out. How do they help the projects? 
Wikitongues have a channel on YouTube where people send videos speaking in their language. They have a Facebook fanpage and an Instagram account, in these two tools they post project material, advances in the spread of languages and emphasize the importance of diversity.

Summarizing the Lecture:

On April 2th,2019 at PUC -Campinas we received Ana- Carolina an environmental engineer- and Guilherme Mossi,an environmental and civil engineer. They work at the company Essencis and held a talk on the disposal of garbage.
Do you know where your residues go to? Behind the destination of your trash,there are technology,negotiation and a lot of money.
Before the lecture ,I knew very little of what happens after garbage colllectors pass on the streets.The differences between dumping ground and landfilll.The process of removing garbage from the streets and taking them to the landfill is very fast,as the delay can affect the city.The whole process of reaching the landfill ,wighing the trucks and tipping takes about 30 minutes.
The landfill of Caieras that receives garbage from the city of São Paulo and the region receives 700 garbage trucks a day carrying 12 thousand tons of garbage.This landfill is considered one of the largest in Brazil,it has 3,500 hectares,has the largest Termoverde which is an energy matrix considered one the largest of its kind in Brazil.
Technology and concern with the environment is very important for Essencis.The speakers showed how bureaucratic the environmental process is how the company is charged by the supervisory agencies.
They also explaneid the technical terms about the landfills and their division into classes according to the type of waste.Landfills cannot be built in any areas and,in the case of Caieras it is in a valley it surrounded by a green belt.
I found the lecture incredible and it left me with many reflections. Although progress being done ,it is still a long way from the Brazilian to learn the importance of trash and how much money we can generate as well reduce environmental impacts through a correct discharging and disposal of our waste.

Wrinting Task 2
Hills Like White Elephants by Ernest Hemingway.
It was first published in August 1927 in a literary magazine and then the colletion of short stories "Men Without Women",in the same year,1927.The main characters are an American and a woman named Jig.They are waiting for a train going to Barcelona.The tow characters sit down to have a drink while they wait and observe the mountains of the Ebro Valley .The man talks to the woman about a surgery and reassure her that it is goiing to be a simple operation.He thinks about what will happen after this surgery.He argues that everything would be as it was before,that it is what makes them sad and he knows other people who have done that.She also talks about others who have already had surgery and they were happy.The repeats that it is a simples surgery , but that he would understand if she did not want to undergo such surgery and that he's willing to go ahead if that matters to her. She tells the man that everything can change,that there is no way back.The man continues to argue with the woman to a point that she asks him to shut up and moments later,she informs that she will undergo the surgery .
That man leaves and she is left alone.When he returns,he asks the woman if she feels well and the woman replies that she is well,that there is nothing wrong with her.
