One of the things I love most about my hometown is its proximity to nature. I have really fond memories of taking walks here as a kid. When the pandemic hit and I moved back home, this place became a sort of a peaceful refuge.

My first taste of college!! I didn't really know what I wanted to study at university until I took an amazing introductory environmental science course here. I loved how in-touch with the natural world it was and the fact that we could learn so much from analysing samples taken right on campus, like in the lake you see in this picture. I remember thinking that I could see myself being fulfilled if I dove into this field - and I am, at least so far. If I were to put a finite placemarker on my transition from youth to adult, it would be this train station. This is where I departed from to go live on my own for the first time.
