I was hard pressed to find an activity that deal with the social norms of the time in the 13 colonies. Most of the activities I discovered centered around memorization games of the names of the colonies, matching of professions to their proper names, or scavenger hunts to match particular facts about each colony. However, I believe that my activity will be centered around my students writing a story that puts themselves in the shoes of a colonist in one of the colonies. Their goal will be to describe how their day goes from sun-up to sun-down. This way, I will have evidence of their learning about the social norms of the times.
