I can make a text to self connection because both Lucy and I were teased by someone, but then we helped them when they were in a difficult situation. When I was in Grade 3, I moved from Montreal to Ottawa. When I first arrived, a boy in my class started to make fun of me because I walked a little bit differently, just like how Lucy was teased by Ralph for having big hair. However, when Ralph was stuck on the monkey bars, she helped him, and I helped the boy who was teasing me when he was having difficulty with his Math. He thanked me for helping him, we found common interests and we became friends.

I help my Mom with the cooking, even if we are arguing sometimes, because it's fun to help. I can connect to Lucy helping Ralph get off the monkey bars because she knew it was nice to help, even when she was mad at him.

I helped my brother when he got tripped by a third grader and his name was conner. it conect to the story because ralf tripped lucy in the story. i was brave and said to conner 'stop please' and he stoped so we became friends.
