Overall Petroulem is a reliable resource. It has many positive and many not positive effects on the environment. On a scale of 1 to 5 I rate the resource a 2. It is a non renewable resource , it can pollute the water and many more. We should stop using the resource as much as we do. We could possibly reduce the extinction of sea animals and the pollution of water.

Petroleum has many economical advantages and disadvantages. A worker on an oil rig states "I hope I can keep working on the oil rig, though, because it pays really well." But, a parent who pays for gas says, "If we have to pay anymore for gas than we already do, our family will have to cut back on other expenses." This just shows that the effect on the economies is equal. Petroleum also helps give job opportunities. Like the man on the oil rig. This is helping the economy in the long term because it offers people with jobs and the people with resources.

Petroleum has many negative effects on hoe people live by how the oil spills into the ocean and the accidents can be fa dal for the people working on the oil rig. Petroleum does benefit at the expense of others by gas prices going up then they would have to cut down on expenses. No this resource is not sustainable because there are many negative impacts on the environment it is bad on the expenses.
