When students usualy do computer work or create anything, social conseuences are the last thing they think about. This ethic targets the programmers audience and influence on others. Most of the time something is created it is for someone else but for the enjoyment, not necessarily the consequences or the negative attritubes of it being created. This requries someone to think about the bigger picture but usually for students, that is not something that they are concerned about. Most mistakes happen because people do not know that they are donig them or they are not aware that it is effecting someone in a negative manner. It is sad to think that most people are just not knowledgable but for computer ethics, not many people know the rules and regulations of going about creating something. Everyone is creative and has thier own mindset on what to create but if we educate students on creating something to benefit society or in a positive mindset then we will not have this problem. Educating our students early on or anyone for that matter will reduce this from happening. Using exmaples and showing HOW it will negitivley affect society or a group of people will give people the mindset of checking before completing. Commuication is also key to stopping this from happening.
