I really enjoyed my first interaction with my book “The summer I turned pretty”. I learned that Belly one of the main characters and her family go to a summer house every summer and go to their family friends house. I’m wondering what they are gonna do this summer. I read 15 pages and my goal everyday is 15-20 minutes.

In the book I’m reading “The Summer I Turned Pretty” I’ve had a really good experience with it so far, I think it’s really interesting and I look forward to reading it everyday. Currently what is happening is Belly’s best friend Taylor is visiting her in cousins beach and she wanted to date Conrad. But Belly has had a crush on Conrad her whole life, so Taylor decided that she would rather his brother Jeremiah. Now the boys want to hangout with Belly since Taylor is there. Since my last post I have gotten more into the book. I’ve noticed that I read to about 10-15 pages a day and never want to put the book down. I would hope to be done with this book by October 20th.

Steven, Belly’s brother left the summer house for the rest of the summer visiting colleges. So now it’s just Conrad, Jeremiah and Belly they went to a bonfire and belly met a boy, Cameron. He recognized her from a Latin convention for middle school when she wasn’t pretty, she liked how he had recognized her before she was even pretty. The conflict at this point is the Conrad and Jeremiah won’t stop making fun of Cameron and Belly, they were saying things in front of a whole party and everyone would laugh at him. Belly doesn’t forgive them and she felt embarrassed that they were doing this. I really enjoy the 10 minutes of reading everyday and I think I’m pretty productive and read a lot of pages. Right now I’m on page 147.

In The Summer I Turned Pretty, Jeremiah just confessed to Belly that he doesn’t see her as a friend and he thinks that they should be more then that. But Belly doesn’t see him like that because she is still in love with his brother, Conrad. So she built up the courage to tell Conrad how much she loved him and she always has. But he ends up getting mad at her and saying how the world doesn’t revolve around her. The main character, Belly is humble and caring. I think I have been doing good with this book and spending my time wisely reading. I think I can finish by the end of November.

After finishing The Summer I Turned Pretty, I really liked this book and it focused on things I am interested in. The whole book is about summer and all the fun things about it, which I really like because summer is my favorite thing. I give this book a 9/10 it was a lot like the show which is fun.
