I’m curious about what the Strandbeest creators were thinking when they were making this. It really just seems like a millipede mixed with a lion made out of wood. Other than that, I’m also curious about how they figured out the physics behind the Strandbeest. Seriously, it looks like it’s inching it’s way to an area using force from squiggles.

It was satisfying to watch because the motion was so smooth and the music was calming. I wonder how long it takes to make one of these! How many tries did the creator take to make the perfect one? I almost want the creator(s) to make a video: “How to Make a STRANDBEEST”. Overall, this was a very, very cool Monday Curiosity!

I also am curious about how long it took to create that object. I think it would take a long time because you have to get everything perfect for it to work the way you want it to. Also would it work if there was no wind. And would it work if it wasn’t on a beach? Those are my curiosities.

.
