First, the word ”dink” means to carry someone in the backseat of a bike or motorcycle. This photo features a young girl sitting with his father on a bike. The both looks calm and happy. The girl seems to be happy when her father goes out with her. This photo is probably been shot to let his daughter recall times when she was still a young girl and how she loved her dad, so that if she sees photos like these when years passes, she will have more hope and be less stressed for her future, because she will feel the encourage and support given by her father.

Father 'Dinking' his Daughter on Bike, Brunswick, 1949.

A son killed his dad because his dad is abusive, mainly towards the son’s mom. Then, people agreed to his action, thought it was acceptable. From one perspective, we can learn that people see family abuse as a problem, which is good. However, what is bad, and what is the other perspective, is that people who are supposed to deal with it, like the police and the government, are not really helping solving the problems. They should have the responsibilities and duty to help the ones who are abused, but they encouraged to let family’s job to fight back upon the abusive one. However, it is very had for them to do, and isn’t how they are supposed to be treated. For example, in the book Jasper Jones, Laura died because of her abusive father. If people card about it before hand, she wouldn’t suicide.

Citation: “Father Shot: “Not Murder 1952 Unknown Author https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/23166120

In this film by Sam Peckinpah, two cowboys saved a girl from her abusive dad. This movie reflects the problem of abusive fathers at the time. The girl who is abused by her dad is helpless, meaning that people at that time Australia classify the problem of abusive parents as unsolvable without help from others. It also reflects the problem of the governments and the laws not being able to help the abused. in the film, only the two cowboys, while having no duty to help, are helping, versus the government which should have the responsibility to help them.

Citation: Warner Bros & Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer & Richard Lyons & Sam Peckinpah Ride the high country [Widescreen]. , 1962. https://trove.nla.gov.au/work/229562201

The parents are very caring, since they bring the son to play and have fun. Their facial expressions are very calm, meaning that they are having a good time. The parent’s love towards their son must have gave him this memorable moment in his life. From another perspective, the reason why the parents took this photo is because they want their son to feel better, since he could feel less sad after seeing this photo at bad times.

People - Family party at Corrimal - bikini clad mother, small son and young father. , 1969.

This case described by the newspaper it's about a son killing his father who is abusive towards him. No matter analyzing from which and who's perspective, it is the father's fault. Not saying that shooting him is correct, but the son was, in a way, forced to kill his own father, because he have to protect himself from being abused. The son of course will be punished very hard for killing, but he was just protecting himself. If the father was caring, or at least not abusive, the son will have a much brighter future. Now the son is traumatized and helpless, and no one will care him. This is how abusive parent will definitely ruined their children's life

Citation: 1951, SON SHOT FATHER, IS ACQUITTED, unknown author https://trove.nla.gov.au/newspaper/article/201515148

The 15 sources proves my thesis. The sources highlighted in red showed how abusive father could ruin their children’s life is a problem in Australia 1960s, and sources highlighted in green showed how a loving and caring father could let their children have hope.
The problem of abusive fathers is not focused enough at that setting. This could mainly be seen from the newspapers and other sources highlighted in red. The newspaper only uses short sentences to describe the main information briefly, and do not have background and result of the case. Another point worth noting is that the all the cases are very severe, featuring huge injuries and murdering, but there must have been less severe cases happening at the time. This means that people thought these cases are unimportant, so they aren't caring about the problem of abusive fathers.
The sources highlighted in green shows another type of father, who are caring and loving. Most of them features a father with his child, either doing work or resting. The father spending time together with his kid is an act of care, and the time spent let the child to learn more, which results in the better performance for the children later on in the future.

What happened was the boy was trying to find something in the kitchen, and his drunk father suddenly came and beat him hardly, breaking his collarbone and bruising his face.
