As a parent whose child would be affected by this, I have never seen the middle school and am not familiar with the layout. Who did the math on that and could not see that housing 5 specials in a small room wasn't going to work? Why do all the specials from Grantwood have to come down on the same day? 2) By moving the 5th graders out to the middle school will they be changing classes also? If so I think that is a big transition for those kids and they are to young. If you choose to not have those kids changing classes how are your going to keep them engaged and on task when you have grades 6-8 moving up and down the hall through out the day and making noise. I feel that the people in the district were mislead to believe this in order to close Ainsworth Elementary. I think that we aren't even a year from closing an elementary school and were talking about not having enough room in a elementary that was suppose to have plenty of room. I don't agree with moving the computer lab to the library and taking up more space at the middle school/high school library. There is no space in the middle school for extra kids.
