Reflection LA 1: Are you ready to start your learning experience for the last term of the school year? How do you feel about starting this new opportunity to build your own learning? What difficulties do you have to overcome during this last term?

I think I want to start because I want to know what we are going to learn in this unit. I want to know how we are going to finish this year. On the other hand, I'm also anxious because I know there is going to be hard, with many LA's, projects, collaborative work, etc., and we don´t have time too much time.

In this last term, we have Christmas and New Year celebrations, and many other events that take time from classes. I want to have everything done on time and to have good notes. This term is the last one and it is also the last opportunity to improve all our grades and start thinking about 9th grade.

120 WORDS

Reflection LA 4: Reflect on the interconnectedness between the life cycle of stars and the creation of elements, considering how supernovae play a crucial role in dispersing heavy elements into space. How does this cosmic recycling influence the composition of celestial bodies, including planets like Earth?

Well there is an interconnectedness between life cycle of stars and the creation of elements, because there both are a type of cycle, of space things for example in the creation of elements we can appreciate that there is a classification, of the elements and they have an specific order, and the life cycle of stars is also a cycle of specific life stages of a star and that is how they have an interconnectedness, but that is not the only thing because they have both elements, inside of their mass. At the end of a star's life, much of its matter is blown into space, where it provides the gas and dust for building new stars, planets, and everything on them including our bodies.

125 WORDS

Reflection LA 2: Which was one thing that was new for you, one thing you already knew, and one thing that you found the most interesting about everything that was explored in these sessions? Explain your reasons for each of them by writing your thoughts in at least 115 words (add the word count).

The things new for me in this LA are almost everything, but if I have to choose it would be the formation of the solar system and the earth because, I didn't knew about his formation and it was very amazing to know about this. One thing that I already know was the Big Bang, that was an explosion where the universe started. Finally the most interesting thing that i found was the fact that the gravity created stars, because I didn't know, well in fact the gravity is what makes the stars and some galaxies, for me this information was very interesting and I wanted to put it here.

WORD COUNT: 110 WORDS

Reflection LA 3: Would you like to visit space? How do you think you could prepare for that? What did you learn from this LA and how may you use this knowledge in your present and future life? Write your thoughts in at least 115 words (add the word count).

If I have to answer in my own. I really think that if I have to choose, I would like to

stay here in the Earth, at home, with my family, doing all the things that I like to do, but, thinking as

someone who is being prepared for a professional future, I would say that I would like to visit space

someday. To be prepared for that, for visiting space, is not only to know about scientific details, physical

principles, etc , and so on: I would have to prepare my mind, my body, my perspectives

and my character. So simple as to be healthy, strong and have a good common sense, could be very

necessary when thinking about visiting space.

I learnt from this LA that it has been a long, long time since space exploration has become a reality.

For my present and future life, I have to think that instead of just sit and wait to see how other people

are inviting me to go to space, I have to think of taking care of myself, of my family, of my home, my

school, of animals, of non-renewable elements, etc. Later I will be thinking about visiting space.

201 WORDS

Reflection LA 5: Did you achieve the objectives of this LA (they are stated in the “Introduction” section of this LA)? What makes you say that? Write your thoughts in at least 100 words (add the word count).

I think that at least I have tried to achieve the objectives of this LA. This is because as I am making the investigations, reading the links that were added there, attending to the classes, and using BrainPOP information's, I have learnt more. Each time that I read about a new theme in English, I learn also how to write and use grammar correctly.

About real life, the Universe is part of our life since it was created. To learn about Universe is to learn about humans being.

To make good decisions and to make good choices, we have to be informed about all kind of themes: social, political, economics, etc. I´m conscious that the more I learnt, read, practice, ask, demand, search, the more I have tools for living.

130 WORDS
