The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints

This church has been a part of not just my life, but my families for multiple generations. I grew up with both parents being faithful members who raised my three siblings and I to their fullest. I believe that it is fair to say without the church in my life I would not be the person I am today. I believe that religion is what gives people their moral system and I am just glad that I could be given one that emphasizes care for others, the consequences of ones own actions, and redemption.

Guatemala is my Moms nation of origin. She lived there for about half of her life before moving to the United States. As my Mom she raised us very similar to way she was raised and taught us her language, history and traditions. I even lived in Guatemala for a short period and due to the way I was raised I fit in well, I even have duel citizenship between The United States and Guatemala. We are always eating food classically from Guatemala, which is were I learned most of my cooking skills and many of our family traditions originate from there.

The Internet

Though you may be able to argue that the internet broadly does not have a culture that can influence you, that just means you don't understand just how much the internet is connected. I've been on the internet since when I was in elementary school and has completely influenced my sense of humor and my language broadly. I have often been disconnected from other kids my age and slightly older as they don't/didn't (as I got older this became less and less common) understand a lot of what I was talking about. The internet has been diluted more lately as more and more people join and force their way into communities, but it still majorly influences my language and humor everyday.
