My family got here by walking from Mexico and El Salvador all the way to the US border and crossed it. My mom decided to leave her family behind for her to have a better life. She came heer to make money to provide for her parents and siblings in Mexico and wanted a better education. My dad decided to come to the US when he was 14 because there was a civil war happening in his country and wasnt safe for him to be there since he was a boy and his countrys military was ¨recruiting¨ boys at a very young age.
Some obstacles that they met were lack of everyday needs like water , food, proper hygine, etc. Another obstacle that they bet was there deporations and having to cross the border again while having a child.

Alot happened  during the years that my parents arrived to the US my mom got here feburary of 1992 and my dad got here a year after her. In the time that my mom here a few months after her arrival the LA riots accord which was a series of riots and civil disturbances in April and May due to the ussage of excessive force from four LAPD officers in the arrest and beating of Rodney King which was video taped and shared worldwide. During the 6 day waiting period to wait for the verdict there was looting, murder, assult, and arson. By the end of these riots 63 people where killed, 2,000 and more people where hurt, more than 12,000 people where arrested , and cost of property damaged was over $1 billion. Also that year the Presidential Election took place and Bill Clinton won and in 1993 he become President of the United States. Terrorist attack on the World Trade Center on feburary 26, 1993 which killed 6 people and injured thousands. Also lots of natural disasters happended that ended up killing and inguring many people.
