The test was of the Lotus eaters, the inhabitants were peaceful and only wished to eat the lotus" but those who ate this honeyed plant, the lotus, never cared to report, nor to return: they longed to stay forever"(Homer 88). The third test was the Cyclopes, son of poseidon. 'The Cyclopes polyphemus return to his cave, where Odysseus and his men are impressed."(Homer) Odysseus upheld the value of intelligence when he had come up with the idea of taking. The cyclopes vision then hiding under his sheep to get out of the cave.   </div>]]></description>

After being cast out to sea they said for 7 days to eventually arrive at the land laestrygonians, which way a race of cannibals, They had destroyed all the ships except the one odysseus was on "These creatures destroy all of the ships except the one odysseus is in"(Homer). After his crew had been reduced to only one ship the remaining men sailed to Area. There circe transformed to half into pigs. "She transformed half the men into swine. Proceed be a magic herb. That transforms the men back into normal" (Homer) Before odysseus left the Island a year later circe informed him that in order to get home me must travel to hades. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Circle had told Odysseus about all of the sirens and how to avoid each and every one of them, "I carried wax along the line, and laid it thick on their ears. They tied me up" The great god helios has also helped me out by giving odysseus sunlight that softens the wax that he would place in mens ears. Odysseus's ordered all of his men to tie him up not let him go no matter what he says. While sailing His men encounter scylla and charybdis "Scylla to port and our starboard beam charybdis, dire gorge"(Homer 780) With SCylla on one side and Charybdis on the other there situation was a lose lose situation. But if they chose the right path they wouldn't lose as much going to the correct side. They end up choosing the right side.They will only lose 6 men. The odyssey had held culposo for 10 years under a spell. "Through I have been determined long by calypso". (Homer 29)  Despite being with her for 10 years. Even though what happened to him he chose to stay loyal tell the end. </div>]]></description>

He also had to show her that it was really him and not another god. So his wife set up a test that only he could complete. To prove that it is really him. He"walked up and down from bow to stern, trying yo put some heart into them." (Homer lines 763-764) His best heroic trait is bravery he shows it time and time again. He has all of his men tie him up.
