He was inspired to make silver jewelry mimicking the intricate yet delicate spider webs. The making of kendari werk is done using simple, manual equipment.The artisans only depend on their skills and the whole process is long and requires extra attention to detail. Steps involved in making these beautiful  filigree artworks are below.
1) Metal is first cast in a rod like shape
2) while still hot, the metal is then hammered  and pulled Continuously until it becomes small threads.
3) Threads of different  size are then layered with in a frame that forms the jewelery.
4) To add sparkle the piece is layered with silver dust , torched until it melts, and then sand papered until it shines.
Currently kendari werk is also made of gold and comes in form of jewelery.
