Being trapped, unable to escape an enclosed space (possible claustrophobia issues), and the certain habits and qualities of your crewmates can lead to frustrations (pg. 33). The structure of the space caven itself can lead to breakouts of anger. “The smaller the craft, generally speaking, the tenser the astronauts” (pg. 34). - Melissa Moreno & Stephanie Lopez

The writer has used language that makes it easy for the average reader to understand. Even going as far as to elaborate on certain words in order for the average reader to understand. She uses common language in explanations on certain trivia. For example, on pg. 116, Roach writes, “Axilla (armpits) and groin occupy the top two slots because that is where the body’s apocrine sweat glands are.” On the same page, she also writes, “‘Protein-rich apocrine secretions are the twenty-four-hour diner. (Though eccrine sweat glands does contribute edible elements whose break-down products are, as Leyden says, ‘part of the overall bouquet, if you will.’ It’s a milder, lockerroomy smell.” - Melissa Moreno & Stephanie Lopez

The worst physical discomfort would be having to wear the space suit, having fungus, body odor, and going weeks without being able to shower. Some physical challenges would be that the clothing would start to get stuck to the astronaut’s body parts that can lead to groin-decomposing as sebum starts to accumulate the skin. Also since they aren’t allowed to shower, oil begins to build up and makes it a safety hazard for the astronaut as they are able to slip from the oil.
-Ninfa Penaloza, Mikaela Posada, John Guerra, Emanuel Guardarra, Makayla Edwards

Some astronauts are in space for a year at a time but they don’t shower as often as people on Earth shower. Hollywood never told me that.
