A mixture of feedback was evident ranging from those that fully embraced it to those that experienced difficulties due to a combination of incorrect hardware/browser and some lack of digital capabilities. Positive feedback included some intentions to incorporate BB Collaborate within their modules ( as evidenced through their module assignments.)]]> 2019-03-20 16:02:46 UTC https://padlet.com/Debbaff/BBcollaborate/wish/343408607 SALT STUFF Debbaff https://padlet.com/Debbaff/BBcollaborate/wish/343408791 BB Collaborate Sessions have been used to undertake a variety of meetings to conduct SALT business including on and off campus participation and with external attendees.   The facility has also been used to facilitate blended workshops in relation to the 7C’s Seminar Series.  A dedicated  TEL week enabling staff to engage with BB Collaborate on a daily basis is also currently in development. We have also run three BB Collaborate Blackboard Drop-in sessions which have proved more popular than many of the face-to-face drop-in sessions, therefore indicating a demand for this type of delivery. It is anticipated that more targeted and appropriate advertising of this facility will demonstrate more take up in due course.

We are  also thinking of using it to run HEA info sessions for HEA Fellowship remotely

We have two members of staff that have completed accredited external online facilitator training (COLF) with another in progress.  An internal SALT ‘Best Practice Facilitator ’ training session is currently in development which be rolled out to the SALT Team and to other interested parties in due course, It is anticipated that this will allow us to delivery a series of ‘CPD’ online sessions for BB Collaborate which will expedite the take up of BB Collaborate as more staff become aware of the functionality.  We also intend to provide a ‘Teach yourself’ BB Collaborate resource which will be made available via the SALT Website.

The reason is that I may be sometime abroad for research purposes, especially near exam season. So far, the response of the students has been positive. They used the online office hour mainly to re-sit a Kahoot test that I value 1%. I also like the idea that, in the case of questions related to the course, I can record the answer so that the student can revise using that recording.
