1.He changed the church so that Kings or Queens cannot be Catholic

2.He married six different people and killed two making most people think he is evil.

3.He had 3 children just so he could have a son because he said that women were not worthey to rule the country so i supose he was a he was sexist. Number 1. is a present significance as it has carried on thoughout all these years. Number 2. is a contemporary significance as it was only mainly important at the time and number 3 is a casual significance because Henry VIII’s life was never the same after as everyone thought about him differently.

Henry's first wife was Catherine of Aragon. She was a Spanish princess. In 1511, Catherine had a son, but the baby died.

Catherine and Henry had a daughter, Mary. But no son. So in 1533, Henry decided to divorce Catherine, so he could marry someone else.

Henry's second wife was Anne Boleyn. She had a daughter, Elizabeth. Henry turned against Anne, and she wasbeheaded in 1536.

Next Henry married Jane Seymour. In 1537, she had a son, Edward, but she died two weeks later.

Almost as a gesture of how his reign would proceed, one of Henry’s first decisions was to order the arrest of Sir Richard Empson and Edward Dudley – the two men who had been responsible for implementing Henry VII’s financial measures.

Evaluation: If he was a nasty he wouldn't drink a lot or spend tons of money on worthless things
