It is no doubt a very impressive skill especially if the artist can free style. One of the most well known free styles is Eminem's "Rap God." People were amazed when he said that he didn't write "Rap God" because it was 6077 words, and it won the Guinness World Record for fastest rap song ever. It has fast and intense rhythm, a fun constant background music, and an intense speed that feels exciting. Overall it's a great song analytically, but I don't like how it feels or sounds. Its very electric and robotic which I do not like because I think it is less personable and annoying. The idea of being great at rapping or success in general is interesting, but I don't find the value in the message. I'm not looking to be remembered for a lifetime or be famous. I'd rather make the difference in someone's life rather than be someone great and distant. “Heathens”, the hit single performed by 21 pilots, and the theme song from Suicide Song is not a song I’m interested in. Rap is difficult, but I like to hear a voice that takes years of experience to train and perfect. I don’t enjoy the rhythmic speaking as much as I do singing. The consistent rhythm coupled with the E minor key make for an interesting sound to the song, but it did not make me like the rap theme they were going for. The tempo is also very interesting for the group because it’s much slower than usual, but it goes well with the ominous sound of the piece. Even though the instrumental aspects of their music are good, I do not like the lyrics or the rapping in the piece. The lyrics misinterpret the word heathens in a way I don't agree with. They are basically saying everyone is a sinner which is true, but they are using the word heathens as an incorrect substitute. I would not listen to this for fun on my own. Rap has a different view on what I want in the world or what I believe in.
