         <description><![CDATA[<div>On his first voyage (1492-1493) Columbus reached several islands in the Caribbean: Guanahaní (which they named San Salvador), Cuba (Juana) and Santo Domingo (Hispaniola). His best ship, the “Santa María”, crashed in Hispaniola, and a fort called “La Navidad” was built with its wood. Columbus returned to Spain in the caravel "La Niña".</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On his fourth voyage (1502-1504) Columbus explored the coasts of Central America (Honduras, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama)<br>Several expeditions followed the four Columbian voyages. They were the Minor Tours, which allowed us to recognize the existence of the American continent and explore the entire coast of Venezuela.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>On his second voyage (1493-1496) Columbus discovered the Little Antilles (Dominica and Guadalupe), passed through Puerto Rico (San Juan Bautista) and reached Hispaniola where he found the La Navidad fort destroyed. Nearby, he founded his first city, which he named La Isabela. Later he explored Cuba and sailing south discovered Jamaica (Santiago).</div>]]></description>
