Some major achievements of Rome was the constructions of its roads, which helped transport goods, and help ease travel with other peoples.

They also created the Julian calendar, which was the first calendar with 365 days.

They constructed the aqueducts, which helped bring in fresh water from other countries and not just Rome.

They also innovated their architecture from Greece, and constructed their own buildings and arches.

Major figures of Rome

Some major political figures are Julius Caesar (who was a brilliant general and statesman), Pompey (who was also a general and political rival of Caesar). Augustus, the first emperor of Rome, in which he helped Rome be free of armed conflict for a long time.
