    • Alliances:Military alliances lead to rivalries between nations. 
    - Guaranteed support from other nations. This lead to Nations supporting each other and making it a real world war.

    • Militarism: After World War 1, Germany had a limit to how many military personal it had. However once Hitler took office, he ordered the building of ships, tanks, planes,etc.
    - Europe didn't grow it's military, underestimating Germany
    -Japan's government was being ruled by military leaders
    • Alliances: Germany and Italy made alliances. Later Japan joined the Axis powers
    -Fascist nations of Germany and Italy supported fascist in Spanish civil war

    -Allied powers: U.S., Britain, France, USSR, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Denmark, Greece, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, South Africa, Yugoslavia

    -Axis powers: Germany, Italy, Japan, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria
    • Imperialism:  Germany expands it's territory by invading former territories 
    -Japan also starts conquering southeast Asian nation
    cluding European colonies. 
    -Allied powers are forced to go to war with Germany after it conquered Poland. Japan goes to war with China, later the U.S
    • Nationalism: Germany wanted to rebuild it's economy and regain it's old territory. This lead to Nationalism because the German;s viewed Europe as there enemy's-
    -Japan's nationalism was a desire to survive it's European aggressors. Europe was seen as the enemy, not seeing Japan as an equal.
