Hire tutors that reflect the student population; students need to feel comfortable asking for help; applies to more than just tutors--front desk staff, coaches...; staff, tutors, & leaders need to be the welcoming force and voice. Librarians call this "roving" to intentionally ask if students need help instead of waiting for them to come to you. Training is needed to feel confident and initiate conversations in a welcoming way: Are you finding everything you need here? Are you getting the support you need? Start a dialogue.

How to best make librarians accessible and an intentional member of the Career Communities? Librarians have been liaisons to certain divisions. Targeted OER effort. Citation workshops. Create a community of learning where everyone is respected and a valuable part--tutor, faculty, coach, librarian. Build bridges--reciprocal relationship--with faculty directly so library services are shared widely. Librarians are integrated through PCC Connect & an important part of the GP framework. Be mindful of keeping their services at the forefront and given equal attention. Recognize the importance of informational literacy in the closing of equity gaps and building partnerships across campus.
