• Come up with an extended metaphor to understand the differences between how poetry and prose apply the use of language

• Provide an explanation for why the metaphor helps to distinguish the differences in application of use of language.

• Provide an evaluation of the 4 types of experience that poetry uses

• Clarify central purpose for poetry and the significance of “means” versus “ends” when identify the central purpose

• Provide a concise guide for how to approach poetry when you have time constraints.
