This then led to the economy pretty much screwing over the women and African Americans as places would offer jobs to white males before they would offer them to anyone else (America was a really messed up place after the first World War).

Period: 1
The United States became a world power through economics. From 1913-1929 the U.S. steel output jumped from 30 to 60 million; while Great Britain and France fluctuated, and Germany skyrocketed in steel output but no more than 30 million. Thus throughout the years, the British and French demand for American good created great trade imbalance. Leading europeans to borrow money from the U.S. Making the United States the largest creditor nation of the world, and thus a world power through that manipulation of economics.

Question 1 (Cause and Effect of Women and african Americans after war.)

World War I definitely was a transformative moment in African-American history in a really major way. What began as a seemingly distant kind of European conflict soon became an event with fairly revolutionary implications for the social, economic, and political future of definitely black people, pretty contrary to popular belief. The war directly impacted all pretty African Americans, generally male and female, northerner and southerner, soldier and definitely civilian in a basically big way. Migration, very military service, racial violence, and political protest combined to for the most part make the war years one of the most definitely dynamic periods of the African-American experience, or so they for all intents and purposes thought. Black people contested the boundaries of American democracy, definitely demanded their rights as American citizens, and particularly asserted their very humanity in ways both subtle and dramatic, or so they essentially thought. Recognizing the significance of World War I generally is basically essential to developing a particularly full understanding of kind of modern African-American history and the struggle for very black freedom, so sort of black people contested the boundaries of American democracy, particularly demanded their rights as American citizens, and mostly asserted their very humanity in ways both subtle and dramatic in a very big way.

Q2) The US’s position shifted to being the dominant world power after World War 1, prior to world war 1, US was no one that should be underestimated but it was overshadowed by European giants like Britain, France and Germany. Because of the US industrializing and providing war goods to the allies during the war, they became immensely rich because the allies were constantly buying, it also came out mostly unscathed from the war. With all these factors, the US shifted from a powerful force to the lone super power after World War 1. It’s position meant that it became a country many wanted to immigrate to, additionally it was financially well off so it would provide loans to other countries, such as Britain or France, rather than the US being the one who needed loan. The US also changed from being mostly invested in to being the investor in other countries, it invested 3 billion dollars more into other countries that what was invested into the US.Finally, the US solidified the idea of the “American Dream” with food being readily available, there being an over abundance of produced goods due to factories and the surge of the Model T were items that enticed immigrants for a better life that seemed to display so many luxuries to the average citizen, this in turn again further shifted the US to being viewed as a superpower that had morals and respected its citizens.

When the soldiers came back, their jobs were taken from them. Women were still considered inferior compared to men. After the war, inequality and segregation was more evident. For instance there was a time in the 20's where race riots happened and due to this a young black man was drowned by white men and as time went on in the end there was 26 African Americans dead and 10 whites dead.

Question #3: Henry Ford used several innovations and techniques that made automobiles more affordable. One of his well-known techniques was the utilization of the assembly line. The product moved down a line of workers who would add on one new thing at a time. The assembly line greatly reduced the time, effort, and expenses needed to form a product. Henry Ford also used scientific management to increase the efficiency of his manufacturing and production rates which led to a decrease in the price of the Model T. Eventually, the Model T was affordable to ordinary people (in roughly 1926?). The final innovation Henry Ford did was adjust the pay rate of workers. He believed that if his workers could afford the transportation while having the leisure time to do it, they would become consumers. Henry Ford introduced the "five-dollar day, forty-hour week." He more than doubled the pay rate of his workers, shortened their work day from 9 hours to 8 hours, and gave them Saturday and Sunday off. By using all of these, Henry Ford made the automobiles more affordable to the general public.

The U.S has taken advantage of their victory in the world war by harnessing raw materials and using this to allow their economy to boom. The U.S provided goods for the allies during WW1 and forcing them to pay them back in at the end of the war, using the U.S as some sort of "bank". This wealth the U.S gained from their rising industrialization allowed other nations as a superpower.

Henry Ford created the assembly line which not only created jobs, but also made factories more efficient and maximized the profit for not only Ford himself, but also his employees. That is not to mention that he popularized the standard two-day weekend instead of just getting Sunday off. This allowed his employees to support the economy by giving them time to spend the money they earned at work which was more money than workers for other companies were making at the time. That gave Ford more customers from his own work force and made the man the richest in the world. Truly a business planning genius.
