Doris cannot accept the fact that Guy had three mixed-raced children with the Malay woman. She says that if he had only had two children she might have been able to live with it, but she does not feel like she belongs to him because he belongs with them. 

Part of the reason why Doris cannot accept the children is because they are mixed-raced and another is the fact that some of them are old enough to understand that Guy is their father and they would be very affected by him missing.

Native
Doris cannot accept the fact that Guy has been with a native woman. She is discusted by him and can no longer sleep in their bed without thinking of him being there with the malay woman.

He needs security and company otherwise he would feel lonely and he also lets the native woman live with him again which adds to the fact that he needs someone in his life, otherwise he can not function properly. 
He says this in the beginning of the text:

Doris then finds out about his past and can no longer accept the circumstances and leaves him. 

In it says that Guy "surrendered". This refers to the fact that Guy in the end of the story surrenders to the circumstances of his situation. It is insinuated that he in a sense gives up (or gives in) by letting the Malay woman move back in.
