We could do more to train and make academics more independent. Provide better resources for self help and have regular sessions to push more usage of other features of our LMS and teaching/learning technologies.

Our most important job is to assist the academics with their courses. This is being done very well by the team, however we can also seek to do as well as possible for their and their students benefit. We are doing well in this area, but can always strive for further improvement.

2. Some administrative work such as Teaching Awards administration which can have a never ending set of changing requirements can take up more time then first envisioned, and thus take our time away from our core priorities.

3/ We should have more time to establish courses for new languages which have previously not been taught. Giving the time and patience necessary to bring new lecturers onboard, and to succeed in teaching these languages.

I understand the format is important but trying to have a unified format (the same number of comprehension questions per section etc) does sometimes makes it difficult/time consuming to come up with extra reasonably sound questions sometimes. Need to think about the ‘looks’ or ‘content’. 2) one task/job we currently do that we should not do We should not always chase our ideals (It will be ideal to be able to chase ideals, but…). In other words, we need to be a bit more realistic and practical about time and results. (I am a bit ashamed that I began to sound like an admin person but) we need to be aware of the balance between ‘what we want to do ideally’ and ‘how much we can do in a given time frame’. We need to plan well and prioritise things. 3) one task/job we would like to do and we have no time do To evaluate the effectiveness of eText. We produce things but we do not know if or how they are used.
