First of all, let's look at the first social media: Youtube. Youtube is one of the most popular video sharing platform all around the world with tones of videos. Millions of people upload their videos every minutes. In this platform, you can find a huge amount of resources that you may need for the professional development. Youtube has different channels for different subjects, such as cooking, health, and even gaming.

Cons:
1. Since there are too many content, it's not easy to find the video that you need quickly.
2. Ads are everywhere!
3. It's hard to get some constructive comments because of the mix of users.
4. Once the video has been uploaded, it cannot be replaced by the new version unless you delete the previous version.
5. Sometimes it's hard to find the transcripts for the video if users have hearing disability or not familiar with the language that spoke in the video.

All in all, for professional development, I would suggest you to use Ted Talks as the social media tool. Since the tool is used for the professional development, the content from it should be professional. In here, I don't mean that Youtube doesn't contain professional content, but I would like to say that comparing with Ted Talks, Youtube is more like a common social media platform with a low threshold for entreatment and joy. Therefore, Ted Talks is more suitable for the professional learning for teachers.
