If you think you are beaten, you are;
If you think you dare not, you don’t;
If you’d like to win, but think you can’t,
It’s almost a cinch you won’t.
If you think you’ll lose, you’re lost,
For out in the word we find
Success begins with a fellow’s will,
It’s all in the state of mind.

If you think you’re outcasted, you are;
You’ve got to think high to rise.
You’ve got to be sure of yourself before
You can ever win a prize.
Life’s battles don’t always go
To the stronger or faster man;
But soon or late the man who wins
Is the man who thinks he can.

 God made you special,
 This I know
 He gave you to me
 To watch you grow.
 With a kiss on the cheek
 And a hug just for you
 You are my everything
 This much is true.

God made you special,
 My little one
 I pray you keep your eyes
 Looking up towards the sun.
 You were created
 With a purpose in mind
 God made you special,
 One of a kind.

The dribble of the basketball,
 The swish of the net,
 The squeaking of my shoes against 
 The wood floor,
 The passion and determination that
 I feel is indescribable,
 As sweat drips down my temples.
 
 The basketball court is my home.
 It is where all my thoughts and emotions
 Are erased from my mind and all
 I can think about is the basketball and
 The hoop.
 
 The court is a place that I can focus,
 A place where I can put all of my
 Thoughts and feelings into the 
 Things that are important to me.
 
 Basketball is my life and
 The court is where my 
 Life lives.
