Labor unions paved the way for rights for employees.   Lots of times bosses took advantage their employees and intimidated them so that they would not join a union. In the text it states " Despite their legal rights to exist, bosses often took extreme
measures, including intimidation and violence, to prevent a union from taking hold. " (The rise of labor in the US, para.3, may 2nd 2017). Another Event had the greatest effect was robber barons.  Robber barons were wealthy men who became rich using ruthless tactics. ON man known for this is Andrew carnegie. I know this because in many sources he is depicted as a ruthless rich man who took advantage of the low class(example shown). Another thing  that had a huge effect on society was technology innovations. technology innovations had a huge impact because these helped things more efficient like businesses. At the time new innovations like the light bulb were amazing. They were great because now people could keep there shops open longer. Things like the light bulb were great and gave businesses a chance to make more money.
